We offer two options when supplying our cranes, the CPA Crane Only Hire and the Contract Lift Hire.
The Crane Only Hire is for customers who have lifting experience, can supply their own competent slinger signallers and can draw up method statements and risk assessments relating to a lift.
If a customer is not able to carry out the above then a comprehensive PP.Engineering Contract Lift service is the other option. This includes everything from planning the lift and providing the required documentation right through to executing the lift, providing an Appointed Person, fully trained operator and competent Slinger/signaller.
CPA CRANE ONLY HIRE
In a crane only hire the crane and operator will work to the customer’s instructions. The customer will plan the lift, select a suitable crane, specify the slinging and signalling arrangements, supervise the lift and be responsible for the lifting operation.
CONTRACT LIFT
In a contract lift the crane hire company will plan the lift, select a suitable crane, specify the slinging and signalling arrangements, supervise the lift and be responsible for the lifting operation.
Although in a Contract Lift much of the risk and concern is taken away from the customers, it is still their responsibility to provide accurate information in connection with the items being lifted and the ground conditions. The customers must have Public Liability Insurance.
ADDITIONAL INSURANCE COVER
If the customer is able to carry out all the procedures as in a Crane Only Hire but does not have adequate insurance to cover that of the crane (A minimum of £250,000.00 Hired in Plant Insurance), then our own insurance cover can be used at an additional 20% on the invoice total.
MACHINE INSTALLATION
We also offer the option of machine installation with our own competent and motivated individuals who work excellently together as part of a team
